ArcheAge Chronicles Warrior: Role, Weapons and Combat

Explore the ArcheAge Chronicles Warrior role, confirmed weapons, combat choices and version limits before choosing this melee class.

    AT A GLANCE

Warrior is the front-line class. The official profiles focus on Longsword paths built around parry/control or health-for-damage, and a Greatsword path that builds Resolve for heavier attacks.

    Role and combat identity

XLGAMES describes Warrior as holding the front line. Its profile emphasizes timing, defense and pressure rather than a fixed MMO tank role. The official Steam description broadly confirms action combat with blocking and parrying; it does not publish a fixed party-role assignment.

    Longsword and Greatsword paths

The Longsword profile includes a parry-and-counter route and a second route that spends some of the Warrior’s own health for a stronger hit and enemy-HP recovery. Greatsword builds Resolve before skills such as Unbridled Might; Warrior’s Cry builds Resolve while pressuring nearby enemies. These are profile mechanics, not a current balance ranking.

How this differs from other classes

Compared with Ranger’s range, Berserker’s raw-force weapon choice and Mage’s elemental magic, Warrior’s documented identity centers on sword timing, Resolve and front-line control. The public material does not provide a verified “best build” or a current damage comparison.
