ArcheAge Chronicles Playtest and Beta Status

Track ArcheAge Chronicles playtest and beta announcements, distinguish ended network tests from the public demo, and check eligibility before applying.

    AT A GLANCE

The invitation-based September network test has ended. The currently announced test access is the open Steam demo, which requires no application or invitation during its 19–26 October window.

Is a beta or invitation test open?

No invitation-based network test is currently announced as accepting applications. The September network test ended, while the public Steam Next Fest demo is the current playable event as of 21 October 2026. The Steam demo is open to Steam users without a request-access form or test key.

How the earlier network test worked

The first network test was a short server-stability exercise on 12 September 2026. Registration was limited to Steam users in the United States and Canada; participants requested access and were randomly selected, so an application did not guarantee admission. XLGAMES described the build as early development and asked participants to focus on server stability and network performance.

How that differs from the public demo

The October demo is a public, free Steam event with no application and broader announced regional servers. It is a separate build and event from the invitation-only network test. Both are pre-release snapshots; neither should be treated as the final Early Access feature set.
